We are at a technological level in society when we must be very careful that new innovations are not (potentially) more dangerous than they are beneficial. Drones are helpful for science, military, and perhaps business uses, but otherwise are largely a hobby and can be extremely invasive to privacy. Moreover, because of their current and potential capabilities, the risk to society from their availability to the general population is much greater than any potential good. Drone sales and use by the general public should not be allowed.
